Calvary Chapel Space Coast started out in July 2003. It was then that the Lord began to reveal to some of us that He would have us leave the shelter and safety of Coastal Community Church and start a new work. The leading and confirmations came in various dreams and words, but it all started to convalesce in mid to late July.

On August 7th, 2003 we were given the go and on the 10th we had our first service. It happened too fast to be something we did. It could have only happened like this if it was something the Lord did.

Following the first service, we decided to call ourselves Church on the Rock.

That first Sunday we met at Pastor Baron's house and also the following weekend. It was at that point that we needed more room, and we were offered some space in a warehouse in the TICO airport area to hold services.

On March 1st, 2004 we signed a lease for a building across from Appliance Direct on US 1, between Titusville and Port St. John. And on March 7th, we had our first service there.

At first we rented just half the building, and over time we have rented more and more of the building, until we had rented it all.

At that facility we felt led by the Lord to start Kid's Praise, and have the kids Kindergarten thru 5th grade meet together in the kitchen to sing songs that will help them focus on the Lord. Amazing that when you do something in response to what the Lord is doing and not for selfish reasons, how it bears fruit. We have had several people tell us how their kids have been affected by the change in a way that has drawn them closer to the Lord.

On January 6th, 2008 we completed our move into our current facility at 5195 S. US 1, again putting us in a facility where there is plenty of parking and Sunday School rooms. Now we will have some room to stretch out.
